I was thinking of calling this Spinning Sunshine, or something like that. My daughter said that made her think of the golden orb weaver spider. So, Golden Orb it is.
The Golden Orb is a calcite nugget - almost spherical. It's approximately 2cm by 1.5cm (¾" by just over ½"), suspended on a sterling silver wire "swing", where it will spin freely if you fiddle with it. The swinging pendant sits between bali silver, citrine, moonstone and turquoise, and continues with small freshwater pearls, spaced with peruvian blue opals, facetted yellow opals, "full moon" coin pearls, with more turquoise and citrine. Bali silver beads make a feature around the parrot clasp at the back, and another small facetted citrine is suspended at the bottom of the extension chain.
Golden Orb measures 52cm (20½") with an extra 7cm (2½") available by way of the extension chain.
