This new type of bracelet which I've been making is my favourite, since I love semi-precious gemstones but delicate jewellery just doesn't suit my style.
Gothic Flowers is made up of oval Black Onyx beads made into six-petalled flowers framed by pairs of lovely round Amethyst beads.
Each 8mm black onyx bead is painstakingly chained to the bead beside it on sterling silver wire to form its intricate flower pattern, making this bracelet 3cm (just over 1 inch) wide.
The whole thing looks quite solid, but is absolutely fluid. In fact, it feels so nice to move this piece around in your hands, to fold it around your fingers and to twist it into a rope that you might find it difficult to actually leave it on your wrist!
Gothic Flowers is made to fit like a cuff and is held together with a sterling silver tube clasp which slides into itself for a secure fit. It measures 18¾cm (almost 7½ inches) around.
