I really wanted to find a stone that I could associate with Lucy, so that I could make a design to match the name.
I found it. There are two mines, in the United States, the Lucy mine, and the Lucky Lucy mine. Both of them have deposits of rhodochrosite.
So my rhodochrosite Lucy, sits in the sky, amongst her diamonds.
Rhodochrosite, sodalite, blue topaz and blue-grey pearls, faceted yellow opals and yellow honey calcite, and faceted quartz "diamonds". Creamy little rice pearls finish it off, with a liberal sprinkling of silver linings.
The clasp is a sterling silver heart locking clasp, surrounded by silver beads, including my signature "M" bead.
It's really simple, it's really sparkly. It's gorgeous.
From end to end it measures 54cm (21"). The large quartz rondels are approximately 1cm x .5cm - about the size of an m & m!
The price is AU$80.00 including postage within Australia, or AU$85.00 including postage internationally. Registration is not possible for international mail, and no responsibility is taken for lost postal items. (but what's that in my money?)
