This multi-tiered, somewhat asymmetrical necklace was inspired by the colours of the rainforest, thus its name. Rainforest Dream features three Karen Tribe silver leaves hanging amongst and partially hidden by a complicated web of shapes and colours.
There are more than eight types of semi-precious stone chips and ten types of semi-precious gemstone beads including red poppy jasper, orange aventurine, green aventurine, snowflake obsidian, unakite, dark blue sodalite, yellow aragonite, leopardskin, tree agate and moss agate.
A few tiny sterling silver beads sit atop single stone chips hanging delicately between the round beads and collections of stone chips.
The whole thing is chained together on sterling silver wire, most beads having been given room to move rather than being fitted snugly between each link. This lends itself well to the chaotic nature of the necklace.
The back of Rainforest Dream is made up of a single chain of beads and clasps securely with a sterling silver trigger clasp to a full length of 40cm (15¾ inches) or can be worn closer to the neck in two shorter increments of 38½cm (just over 15 inches) or 37cm (14½ inches).
The multi-tiered feature hangs approximately 4cm (about 1½ inches) deep at the longest point measured from the top tier to the lowest tier.
Rainforest Dream would be just as comfortable being worn with a casual open neck collared shirt and jeans, or with your slinkiest, low cut little black dress.
