Sapphire Studded is the pendant I almost kept for myself. It's a curve-bead slider, made because I love the slider I made in the silver-clay class I did. But my bead is straight, and it doesn't hang the way I'd like - this one is curved, and it's beautiful!
Sapphire Studded is texture wrapped around smooth, dotted with silver and studded with a single blue stone. The pendant is approx 5cm (approx 2") long, and approximately 1cm wide, or deep. Sapphire Studded is not supplied with a chain, but the 2mm ball chain it's photographed on is available from Silver Insanity
Sapphire Studded is quite chunky and heavy, and would probably not suit a fine chain. But you'll probably have lots of fun choosing your own!
Formed by hand, from PMC (precious metal clay) and then fired, this piece is 99.9% solid silver, with a sapphire blue cubic zirconia.
Please bear in mind that an "organic" piece is not perfectly smooth, nor perfectly shaped. It's intended to look like something which may have been created in nature - a little worn, and irregular. It's quite richly patinaed, the inside of the tube is blue-bronze, while the textured bands are copper-bronze.
I think this is one of the loveliest pieces I've made - and a member of a beading forum told me that this is the most impressive silverclay piece she's ever seen! And she has looked at some of what I consider to be the nicer pieces!
The price is AU$130.00 including postage within Australia, or AU$135.00 including postage internationally. Registration is not possible for international mail, and no responsibility is taken for lost postal items. (but what's that in my money?)
