Rutilated smokey quartz dangles beneath a string of dark peacock-bronze freshwater pearls, and gorgeous buttery amber chunks, separated by bali silver. The chunky size of the amber pieces might be uncomfortable against the neck, so the top of this string is a rich gold coloured seed bead. It's finished off with my signature "M" bead, and another freshwater pearl - for balance. The pendant is approx 3cm (1¼") long, and the closure is a simple sterling parrot clasp.
Smoke and Gold is really quite richly coloured, and quite bold. The pendant is a hand cut (not by me) piece of smokey rutilated quartz, and is not perfect in its shape or its surface, but it is quite beautiful, with it's tiny gold rutile filaments stacked inside the crystal.
This is another piece I'm tempted to keep for myself. If I wore autumn tones it would be around my neck, instead of in front of me, being listed!
It's quite long, the pendant falling right to a cleavage. From end to end it's 62cm (24¼") long.
