This piece is named for the sterling silver lightning strike across the pink glass rectangular centrepiece. This central bead can actually be flipped over to be worn plain side out if that's your preference.
The pink glass in Storm in a Rectangular Teacup is surrounded by a storm of colour in semi-precious gemstones. From the middle outwards chained together on silver plated wire, there is green and blue Azurite & Malachite, then lovely blue Lapis tubes with speckles of gold and triplets of round Red Garnets. Two sets of Lapis tubes are nursing a silver coloured daisy spacer.
To add to Storm in a Rectangular Teacup's unique look, it is finished off with long and short sterling silver chain which can be fastened with the sterling silver bolt clasp anywhere along its length using the large links. This means it can be worn nice and snug as a choker, or a bit longer to hang nicely in the hollow of your neck. The end of the chain is hung with a final triplet of round garnets.
Storm in a Rectangular Teacup's pink glass rectangle measures just under 2½cm (1 inch) long, 2¾cm (¾ of an inch) wide and just under 1cm (almost half an inch) thick. This piece can be worn to a full length of 42½cm (16¾ inches) or can be clasped shorter to fit almost any neck size.
