Browsing through gemstone beads online I came across these - beautiful pink mookaite pendants, and I just had to have them. Strawberry Sundae, they said to me, Strawberry Sundae!
So, Strawberry Sundae it is!
This gorgeous creamy concoction is crammed with lots of delicious gems - pink rose quartz, pink malachite, pink (nevada) lapis, rhodochrosite, jaspers, mother of pearl, freshwater pearls, tiny rubies, carnelians, clear quartz, and moonstone, and dark red garnets, including one topping the pendant, like a cherry, and tiny faceted and rough citrines, like a sprinkling of crushed nuts.
The mookaite pendant is approximately 5cm (approx 2") long and 2cm wide. The twisted toggle and bar fastening is at the front, but is movable - the ring on the pendant is just large enough to allow movement - not all the way, just an inch or so. This necklace is not symmetrical, and does feature my signature "M" bead.
It's almost long, the pendant falling just above a cleavage. From end to end it's 56cm (22") long. The mookaite has a cream crescent, at the bottom, with a deep pink swathe across the rest, and a really dark pink stripe down one edge - like the strawberry sauce!
It's good enough to eat.
