While I was sitting in the bush, last week, I sat, feeling a part of it. Part of the bush.
Watching the leaves, twirling to the ground. Going plink on the tent roof.
This is inspired by my week and a half in the bush. Twirling Leaves.
Featuring poppy jasper, rainforest jasper, picture jasper, and ocean (orbicular) jasper, along with faceted iolite, garnet, amethyst, peridot, carnelian, citrine, sapphire, emerald, chalcedony, tiny pearls, a tiny ruby, turquoise, malachite - in pink and green, bloodstone, tourmaline, moss agate, snowflake obsidian, jet, bali silver and sterling silver, this necklace couldn't come close to containing all the colours of the bush. But I've done my best.
The ocean jasper pendant is approximately 1.5cm (just over ½") long and 1cm wide. The photo with the ruler shows the scale in centimetres. The toggle and bar fastening is at the front, just above the pendant. This necklace is not symmetrical - the leaves are not positioned equally on either side.
It's quite long, the pendant falling nicely into a cleavage. From end to end it's 77cm (30¼") long.
It's gorgeous.
