Chunky, vibrant colours, like the colours of parrots in the Australian bush.
Parrot is a thick scarf, of buttery yellow, fuschia, purple, lime, aqua and turquoise yarn, twisted through with a fine black strand, which is barely visible in most parts of the scarf - depends on the angle of the yarn in the stitch.
A wide scarf, this whould keep you warm on even the most bitter of days. Approx 26cm (10") wide at the ends, Parrot is approx 154cm (57") long over the knitted section, with approx 13cm (5") extra at each end, in the tassels. The weight of the yarn at the ends of the scarf means that the scarf falls with wider ends than middle (i.e. the part around your neck is the narrowest).
This is by no means perfectly knitted. It's crafted by hand, has flaws and is imperfect, and it's gorgeous.
Made from 90% acrylic, 10% polyester, this garment may be hand washed and is dry-cleanable. Do not bleach, do not wring, do not iron or tumble dry. Dry flat in shade.
